A sore vagina after a rough sex session is unavoidable. It can also happen if you are a first timer. While it can actually leave you fatigued, tired and in pain, it needs just little attention from you to get back in shape and make you ready for more action. There are a lot of things you can do to heal it, here are a few of them:
Use ice packs: Just the mention is enough. You can just imagine how it can help to cool and soothe the pain and soreness down there. Use it for sometime till you feel better. Using an ice pack throughout the day is enough to help your vagina revive and alleviate from pain.
Take a bath: In fact, soak yourself in lukewarm water in a bath tub and sit there for awhile. This will soothe your bottoms and take care of the bruises too. Add a bit of baking soda to the bath and it can also clean the vagina and ensure that you don’t develop an infection due to the bruises that are like open wounds. Baking soda has antibacterial properties.
Use a lubricant: Whether you used it during intercourse or not doesn’t matter, but to soothe your sore vagina you can apply a dollop of it and spread it evenly throughout the area. A lubricant can moisturise the area and help it heal faster.
Apply coconut oil: This works as a natural lubricant and is a tried and tested one by many. If you are not in favour of synthetic lubricants use this instead.
Break free from underwear: If you are at home, ditch your underwear and wear light cotton maxi dress. Let your bottoms breathe. Tight underwear might make the area damp, itchy and lead to infections too.
Try doing kegals: This is easy and you can do it sitting even at your desk to, to help your bottoms heal and rejuvenate.
Avoid more friction: Well, this is common sense. However, avoid masturbating or more sex till you are completely fine.
Clean the area often: Try to wash the area with clean water several times throughout the day which will soothe the area a bit.
Avoid irritants: Don’t use a vaginal wash on the area. The chemicals in the products will irritate the area more and make the situation worse.
Avoid scratching: Sore vagina, itches and you would be tempted to scratch it, but avoid doing so. Scratching would lead to more bruises and probably pain. It can also lead to infections.
