Becoming a mother is one of the most magnificent experiences in the world. The nine-month wait for something so special is indeed a wondrous time. For many, the first time is always an experience filled with great joy as well as anxiety and doubts. ‘What is the best diet for me and my baby?’, ‘How many times do I eat?’, ‘What kind of exercises can I do during my pregnancy?’, ‘Are there any tips to ease the pain during delivery?’ and ’What happens after my baby is born?’. If you have these queries too, do participate in DNA’s Baby on Board workshop – an exciting and enlightening prenatal session which promises to be a delight for all mums-to-be.
It starts with a talk by renowned pre- and post-natal counsellor Sonali Shivlani on diet and nutrition, general prenatal information including common myths and misconceptions surrounding pregnancy.
Next in store is a fun belly dancing class along with pregnancy exercises, conducted by Charlotte Merchant followed by International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Effath Yasmin’s session on lactation. Yasmin is also the founder and director of Nourish & Nurture. Dr Zinal Unadkat, a leading paediatrician, neonatologist and lactation consultant will also advise the participants on infant and childcare.
The workshop has organised an audio-video session on labour and delivery tips which will be followed by Q & A with all the experts present at the workshop.
To add to the fun and festivities, all the participants present can take part in a printed pregnancy quiz, the answers to which will be given out in the end. The workshop will conclude with the announcement of the winners of the quiz and the distribution of goody bags to all participants present.
The DNA Baby on board workshop will take place on February 10, 2013 (Sunday) at Hotel Courtyard Marriot, Andheri East. To get invited, sms DNA PN <your name> <location> to 575758. Alternatively, send a mail to prenatal@dnaindia.net or visit www.dnaindia.com/prenatal.
