It’s only the first day of your periods, and you have already changed few pads. No, that is not the issue, but an excessive menstrual flow, and the pain associated with it might be giving you a tough time. If you feel popping that pill might do the trick for you, wait for a minute. Try coriander seed decoction as a natural remedy to deal with heavy bleeding. How do they help? According to Ayurveda, coriander seeds (dhania) contains certain compounds that are known to improve the uterine functioning. Also, these spices help in maintaining your menstrual flow by balancing the release of female hormones in the body. Hence, drinking a glass of coriander decoction during your periods can help you to cope. How to take it? Here's how you can make this coriander seed decoction:
  • Add 6 grams of coriander seeds in half a litre of water.
  • Now, boil it till it reduces to half its initial volume.
  • Add half a teaspoon of sugar and drink it when it is still warm.
  • Make sure you drink this solution for 3 – 4 days for effective results.
